The JPFO Freedom Flyer
This celebrates the 20 years of JPFO up until 2009 plus. Visit the Flyer web page by going here, and click on the adjacent thumbnail to see a larger image of the PDF cover. All eight pages (PDF) of the hard copy publication are to be found in the Flyer page along with a chronological achievements review. The JPFO Campaigns Page
Way back, Aaron Zelman instigated campaigns to educate and inform, which included as with the BATFE, an attempt to expose its out-of-control core of abuses and flagrant disregard for constitutional integrity. The "Dial 911 and Die" book is just one example of exposing the many misconceptions surrounding ‘Police Protection’. In more recent times, award winning videos have added to the mission of education.Visit the The Campaigns Page to see the thrust of JPFO’s efforts over the years to educate and create change.

JPFO Freedom Music.
We have a number of Freedom oriented sound files - mostly songs, but also including a reading of the Bill of Rights. Some of the earliest items were made by Aaron's son Jeremy and over time since then we have received a few more from various sources.These all have copyright to some degree by default but they are freely available for download and distribution, for non-commercial use. To download any of these files go to the main page, but we do also offer these files set up in a freedom music player, such that you can listen here on JPFO. We hope you can enjoy some of the inspirational, as well as fun music tracks.

Talkin’ to America, the audio files.
August 2005 saw the beginning of this exclusive JPFO feature. It has comprized interviews with people within, for the most part, the Second Amendment community and supporters of The Bill of Rights, and more often than not interviews were carried out by Aaron Zelman himself. The end result was an MP3 soundfile for download or utilizing as a Podcast with iTunes or similar.Since Aaron’s passing in December 2010, there has been a temporary hiatus but it is planned to bring this back to life again. There are a great many items worth listening to and so, take a tour through the Talkin’ to America pages and familiarize with all the material on offer.

The Open Letters Index
JPFO has over time written many open letters, and while it is often difficult to gauge their impact - in the end the sending of a (usually strong) message across a wide audience is the main objective. Just perhaps sometimes these are seen by people who either pause for thought, or even gain an understanding of an issue. Some letters came from other authors but are shown due to their relevance and importance.Go to the Open Letters Page page where you'll find a list of many letters both written by JPFO and others and accumulated over time. Find time to read as many as you can (most may be on the old site format).

JPFO's material on the Bill of Rights is broad and considerable. The content is large after many years and so some things can be hard to find, but it is hoped that the top menu bar and left column flyout menu will cover most needs adequately. JPFO’s Tribute to its Founder
On December 21st 2010, JPFO’s Founder Aaron Zelman passed away. It was both a tragically sad loss, as well as a blow to suddenly feel almost leaderless. Aaron’s mission however is still alive and well as we have picked up the pieces and strive to continue and further the cause with vigor and determination towards even greater achievements.Even if you are new to JPFO, Read our tribute, as you will learn much about the origins and purpose of JPFO, and the man who gave it life. A suitable companion to this tribute is "The JPFO Freedom Flyer", which was a celebration of JPFO’s 20th anniversary.

The Rabbi’s Pages Index.
Rabbi Dovid Bendory is the JPFO’s Rabbinic Director, and since the passing of Aaron Zelman in 2010, has magnificently filled the gap regarding the Jewish aspect. He is a man of great energy and integrity - also known as "The Gun Rabbi" - and is passionate about the right of self defense. The Gang Movie
This deep digging documentary movie was released in 2007 and runs 85 minutes. It contains material that many would find hard to believe, as it exposes the abuses and inconsistencies of the out-of-control agency BATFE.Purchase a copy from the JPFO store, learn the facts, and then pass that information on to those who might have any doubts. Why Join JPFO?
JPFO tries to be an educator by supplying "intellectual ammunition" - the idea being that we provide information for folks to use the best they can, to further the fight against "Gun Control". We are tax exempt and cannot lobby or endorse but, for sure we can give you the fodder you need such that you can do your bit the best way you can. The fight to preserve our 2A is vital.
Researching to find data, writing articles, as well maintaining the site - all takes time and expense and so, help towards keeping this active and vital is essential. We would encourage anyone who finds our efforts worthwhile to become a member, or even donate - it all helps us survive and continue the hard fought battle.

How Mexico Treats Illegal Immigrants

TULTITLAN, Mexico - Considered felons by the government, these migrants fear detention, rape and robbery. Police and soldiers hunt them down at railroads, bus stations and fleabag hotels. Sometimes they are deported; more often officers simply take their money.
While migrants in the United States have held huge demonstrations in recent weeks, the hundreds of thousands of undocumented Central Americans in Mexico suffer mostly in silence.
And though Mexico demands humane treatment for its citizens who migrate to the U.S., regardless of their legal status, Mexico provides few protections for migrants on its own soil …
The level of brutality Central American migrants face in Mexico was apparent Monday, when police conducting a raid for undocumented migrants near a rail yard outside Mexico City shot to death a local man, apparently because his dark skin and work clothes made officers think he was a migrant.
Virginia Sanchez, who lives near the railroad tracks that carry Central Americans north to the U.S. border, said such shootings in Tultitlan are common.
“At night, you hear the gunshots, and it’s the judiciales (state police) chasing the migrants,” she said. “It’s not fair to kill these people. It’s not fair in the United States and it’s not fair here.”
“If you’re carrying any money, they take it from you — federal, state, local police, all of them,” said Carlos Lopez, a 28-year-old farmhand from Guatemala crouching in a field near the tracks in Tultitlan, waiting to climb onto a northbound freight train.
Lopez said he had been shaken down repeatedly in 15 days of traveling through Mexico.
“The soldiers were there as soon as we crossed the river,” he said. “They said, ‘You can’t cross … unless you leave something for us.’”
Jose Ramos, 18, of El Salvador, said the extortion occurs at every stop in Mexico, until migrants are left penniless and begging for food.
“If you’re on a bus, they pull you off and search your pockets and if you have any money, they keep it and say, ‘Get out of here,’” Ramos said.
In the United States, mostly Mexican immigrants have staged rallies pressuring Congress to grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants rather than making them felons and deputizing police to deport them. The Mexican government has spoken out in support of the immigrants’ cause.
While Interior Secretary Carlos Abascal said Monday that “Mexico is a country with a clear, defined and generous policy toward migrants,” the nation of 105 million has legalized only 15,000 immigrants in the past five years, and many undocumented migrants who are detained are deported.
Although Mexico objects to U.S. authorities detaining Mexican immigrants, police and soldiers usually cause the most trouble for migrants in Mexico, even though they aren’t technically authorized to enforce immigration laws.
And while Mexicans denounce the criminalization of their citizens living without papers in the United States, Mexican law classifies undocumented immigration as a felony punishable by up to two years in prison, although deportation is more common.
None of this, of course, is any sort of argument for harsh treatment of illegal immigrants here in the United States.
But it is a demand for moral clarity. We are a better nation with a better political system than is Mexico. Mexican immigrants here need to remember that (in fact, the vast majority doubtless do). Americans faced with the rhetoric of Mexican politicians have every right to remember how little moral authority those politicians have.
Which isn’t, of course, to argue that we should craft our policy to spite Mexican officials.
